Village Hall Improvements

As many of you may know, as part of the conditions to gain planning permission for the new estate a substantial sum of money was lodged with Tewkesbury Borough Council for improvement to the Village Hall.

2020 was obviously challenging for all and we had to delay progress, however we have engaged an architect and have progressed to the point where we are looking for tenders to build an extension to the Hall.

We are looking at a redevelopment project, for which we are using LVH 21 as a working title, that will be in three phases:

  • Phase 1 - A 105 square metre extension to provide a second room, new toilets and storage.

  • Phase 2 - Refurbishment of the Main Hall and Kitchen

  • Phase 3 - Refurbishment of the changing rooms.

The drawing for the phases is also available to view

We have also drawn up a number of project management documents:

A more detailed explanation of the progress to date is in the first Project Update. There will be more to come as and when we have something to report.

If you think that you can contribute please get in touch, we have a limited purse and any assistance, particularly with trades such as plastering plumbing and decorating, would be much appreciated. The less that we spend on each phase the more phases we will be able to afford.

As at 14 July 21 - There was a Consultation with the chosen Supplier (Town and City Builders). The results were encouraging:

  • The target date for completion of Phase 1 is 1 June 2022

  • Work to start early October 2021

This is all subject to planning permission being granted, the request is with Tewkesbury Borough Council and we should know if we have been successful on or around 13 August 2021.

Thank you all for your support and patience.
